The Plays of William Shakespeare: Summary of the Content

Shakespeare's plays have been always considered among the greatest in the English language. Moreover, they are continually performed by different theatrical companies all around the world. The most of them have been translated into major living languages. These dramatic works include a wide range of subjects, conflicts and styles, from the jolly and playful "A Midsummer Night's Dream" to the dispirited gloomy "Macbeth."

The plays, as a rule, portray recognizable people in everyday situations that all of us can relate to – including love and marriage, death and sense of guilt, mourning, the need to make difficult choices, separation and reunion. The actions of the characters reflect great humanity, tolerance, and wisdom.
